EW have got the first look at the upcoming Chucky TV Series with the first proper teaser and poster! The Chucky TV Series will make its premiere on October 12th at 10 p.m. on USA and SYFY.
The TV show stars Zackary Arthur (Transparent) who is a 14-year old boy who’s bullied after losing his mother recently. He’s a young artist who makes sculptures using doll parts and finds Chucky at a yard sale. Other actors in the TV series include Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Björgvin Arnarson, Lexa Doig (Jason X) and Devon Sawa (Final Destination). The Chucky TV Series isn’t complete without Child’s Play regulars Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Brad Dourif.
Don Mancini, who co-wrote the original film in the movie series, 1988’s Child’s Play, and wrote and directed many of the sequels is the showrunner of the series. The Chucky doll in the series is modelled after the one seen in Child’s Play 2.

“One of the things that we pride ourselves on, and I think makes our franchise singular, is that we have spun a relatively consistent and coherent narrative over the course of 33 years and seven films and now eight episodes of television,” says Mancini. “I think that’s one of the things that our fans like about the Chucky franchise. I deliberately ended Cult of Chucky on a series of cliffhangers, major cliffhangers, because I knew a TV series would be the ideal place to accommodate delving into the ramifications. So we begin the series introducing our new story, our new milieu, and then we start to bring the veteran characters into the story, and it all comes together for a big showdown.”
Be sure to check out EW for a five minute video interview on there with Don Mancini and Jennifer Tilly.
